“The only metric that matters is “one heartbeat”
Bloomington-Normal is home to a thriving corporate, academic, and entrepreneurial community where productivity and performance are highly valued. At the same time, like many communities, it faces the growing challenges of burnout, mental health struggles, and disconnection. My Big Idea, treating life like a project with dashboards and KPIs for sleep, connection, gratitude, and recovery offers a practical framework that speaks directly to professionals, students, and families here. It bridges the gap between data-driven structure and human well-being, showing that success isn’t just about output but about resilience and thriving. This message is especially relevant for a community that is ambitious, growth oriented, and invested in building sustainable lives and careers.
