“The Way You’re Coping with Burnout is Keeping You Stuck”
To truly heal from hustle culture we have to identify our indoctrination stories and untangle them from our identities. This topic is particularly relevant to people in working-class communities, like those in Normal, Illinois, and beyond, where many face the pressure of balancing multiple jobs, family responsibilities, and financial strain. Hustle culture, which often equates worth with how much we produce, is especially pervasive in environments where people are trying to make ends meet and build a better future for themselves and their families. However, the constant push to “”do more”” can lead to burnout, physical illness, and mental health challenges, leaving people feeling stuck and unable to break free from the cycle of overwork.
