Jeremy’s Talk “If Our Schools Were Like Woodstock” asks: how do teachers and schools compete with the fast pace and instant gratification mindset of teens today?
The Woodstock Music Festival defined a generation and provides lessons we are still learning from today. What if our schools, classrooms and learning were more like this epic rock music festival? To answer this… Our administrators, teachers, staff and students would: 1) Be excited to be part of something awesome 2) Thrive in a peaceful, and non-violent environment and 3) Accept and overcome failure. This talk will focus on concepts and lessons taken from Woodstock paired with stories, strategies, and ideas we can use daily to make our lives simpler. Pretty groovy, huh?
